Floret-Online-Workshop-Badge-2019.jpg

I’m Carrie Bunch, first generation farmer and native Idahoan

Growing lots of love in Boise, ID. The idea of working in agriculture or nature has always been a thought but I was unsure of what direction to take. My first thought was raising chickens for eggs and copious amounts of herbs; I wanted to name it Eggs and Herbs! Nope, I quickly realized I did not have enough land for a large flock. While I'm still a crazy chicken lady, selling herbs was not my gig.

In 2019 I invested in my dream and took the Floret Online Workshop- an experience that set me on the path to becoming a flower farmer!  This online workshop taught me how to grow flowers by maximizing my growing space, develop a business plan, and above all market my fresh cut flowers. I also learned a great deal about flower arranging and wedding floristry.

2026 is my seventh year growing and I’m still digging it! I love every aspect of the process -sprouting seeds to the smell of a fresh cut stems. The delight I get as I arrange beautiful blossoms that I grow from seed is an indescribable joy. The bonus is I am able to share and deliver locally grown blossoms to flower lovers in the Treasure Valley!
